Leadpages has that great drag and drop editor which makes building landing pages a breeze. In the battle of the templates, the easy win is given to Instapages solely for the sheer number they have. They just have a lot more to pick from. Yes, you will find more free templates with Leadpages’ standard editor, but many will, and should, defer to the drag and drop editor since, well, it’s simpler. These templates are also well designed to intrigue visitors to stay longer and click on.

Concerning the quality of the designs though, the two Leadpages and Instapages have great templates to provide you, without a doubt, but because of sheer numbers, Instapages wins this round.

If it comes to their webpage editor though, it’s an issue of personal preference because they do their jobs really well, but also in different ways.

Leadpages utilizes a drag-and-drop editor with a grid-based design to assist you construct your page. It’s pretty similar actually to how WordPress lets you build. It is a fairly simple and effortless builder that works particularly well if you’re all about finding the right spacing and getting things perfectly aligned.

As lead pages leans into structure for its editor, Instapages embraces chaos. Rather than a grid system, Instapages employs a free for all, free-form construction interface. Now you don’t have to follow a template and alternatively you can drag and drop your own elements anywhere on the page.

This permits you freedom to get the plan you want. Instapages will offer hints about how to properly align your components of course — they won’t only leave you with no help — but you are free to ignore the hints and do anything you desire.

It’s on you.

1 aspect wherein there is a clear winning however would be the widgets, with Leadpages offering 18 widgets to Instapage’s 11. That may not seem like a lot, but these widgets can be quite useful as elements you’ll need when building your landing page.

When it comes to price, Leadpages kind of wins again, with Instapages coming off as the more expensive option. If billed yearly, Leadpages’ lowest program comes out at $25 per month while Instapage’s comes out as $149 per month.

That’s a $124 difference on a monthly basis.

And that is simply their lowest priced plans.

Yeah, there are a number of attributes in the least expensive plan of Instapages you’ll find only on another plan of Leadpages — for example A/B Testing — but that’s still $124 versus $49.

At the end of the afternoon, we’re going with Leadpages for this particular one. That’s not to mention Instapages is a bad option. If you want a more free-form editor, regularly collaborate with a team and you need collaboration tools and don’t mind the steep cost, then by all means, Instapages would be the one for you.

No matter how you look at it though, Leadpages just has more value overall . It offers a plethora of tools which are on par with Instapages, a fantastic editor and offerings which are unique for this such as Leadboxes (which allows you to make your own pop-ups through the drag and drop editor), Leadlinks, Leaddigits along with the Website Builder, which considerably expands what you can do.
